Our MAF teammates in Arnhem Land (part of aboriginal Australia) have created a short video that illustrates some of the Gospel technology work we will be doing in Papua New Guinea. Take a quick view and enjoy the Kiwi accent (thanks to Peter Higham).
Our October Prayer Letter is now available from our MAF web page at http://www.maf.org/document.doc?id=4098. This letter shares our timeline for departure to Papua New Guinea and shares a story from our teammates there. Also in the letter is how to send us mail in PNG, some prayer requests, and a note from our daugher, Sarah.
Thanks everyone for your love and support,
Many countries publish literacy statistics, but they are not telling the whole truth. The graphic below fills in the realistic details. Bottom-line:
- 1/3 of the world’s people cannot read the language they speak.
- Every year there are 20 million new functionally non-literate people in the world.
- It is estimated that even though many people may be classified as literate, 5.7 billion people (80% of the world) are primarily oral communicators. They prefer, rely on, and learn through oral methods.

We added a page to our Family Blog website titled OUR FAMILY. You can find it in the Menu Bar of our website. On this page you can find a picture and a short bio about each of the children. It is also where you can find Tyler’s latest postal address.
